I accidentally pulled out fuse 25 whilst the ignition was on and now the windscreen wipers keep going off and when I put the key in the ignition the needles flutter about and when I try to start it, it just makes that starter motor noise and won't start and the dash goes dead.

What the have I done??

Sharp intake of breath thro clenched teeth.....Not fuse 25.
Try a battery disconnect and reconnect first and see what happens.

Just tried resetting it.
When I turn the ignition on, it comes up with hdc fault, transmission fault etc just makes a clicking noise and the dash goes blank and won't start.

Seems they are all something to do with the immobiliser

Is your battery fully charged?

Disconnect battery, wait 10mins, reconnect, make sure all doors and bonnet are shut, lock and unlock car with remote and then try it... had a similar issue with mine and that sorted it...

What should it be and can I buy a charger from Halfords and charge it whilst in the car?

Your battery is flat, should be at 12.6V
You could either get a jump start and then go for a run to charge it up or buy a battery charger and charge on the car.
I'd be inclined to charge it with the -ve battery terminal disconnected depending on the type of battery charger you buy.

I would jump it first to ascertain that it is the battery, use the body mounted +ve and -ve terminals, not the battery itself

Just jumped it. Car running is about 13.10.

Now if you could all please turn your attention to my post in 'in car electronics' I would be most grateful.

If 13.1V is with the engine running after a flat battery it's definitely not very good.
I would take the car for a good run to charge the battery and if possible also see what the battery voltage is when running.
You should be getting 14.2-14.4V with nothing switched on.
