my 4.2 SC - mods thus far

i bought a zermatt silver FFRR 4.2 SC in March this year. Thus far I've done the following mods:
- hids in the fog lights
- hids in the high beams (this will be replaced with bi-xenon projectors tomorrow to make it quad xenon hids);
- added side steps;
- removed the roof rails that it came with;
- removed the cats and replaced it with straight pipe

Things to do within the next month or so:

- bi-xenon projectors in high beams
- ITG drop in air filter
- upper pulley
- remap

car went in for a bit of massaging to extract a bit more out of her, and whilst they are fiddling I will have the belts (primary and secondary) as well as the idler pulley and tensioner replaced.

Hoping that my expectations are met when I get her back on Tuesday

ai ja jai

if i didn't have ears my smile would have gone right around my face. Mr. Green got my car back tonight after 6% SC pulley was fitted - my word - money well spent.

from low down in the rev range one can feel it and see it in the way the speedometer dial climbs - SWAMBO was with me and commented on how much stronger and faster the car is.

And the noise - yes the NOISE - SWAMBO tried to describe the noise the car (supercharger) makes but could not find the words to do so

and this is before the remap is done. things to be done:

- colder spark plugs
- TASP's intake mod
- remap

never imagined the SC pulley only would make such a difference. The indie who did the work (btw the first time ever he did this) was also very impressed with the results

the improvement in the performance of the car with the smaller pulley is proof that bigger is not always better Very Happy
