After getting the car remapped and a new fuel filter fitted, we had a weekend away in Kent with friends
So was looking forward to see what kind of MPG I was going to get out of the Fatty. So loaded it up,
Then filled it up and of we went, There was about 10 cars all in all so we weren't driving mad 50 or 60
I suppose, pulled of the motorway and checked the computer and was astonished to see it was averaging
36.4, so now I'm thinking how accurate is the computer on the fatty, coming home up the A21 to the M25
We all got split up so give a bit of stick about 80ish, and it still averaged at 34.5. I can't believe that getting
It remapped would make that much difference. But I gotta say this car just gets Better and Better. 2004 vogue

Brim it to get the true figure. Some people find little difference between the computer and the true values, but mine is way optimistic, and also inconsistantly opimistic. I average 30mpg from the computer, but 27-28 true. The best true value I've had was 30.3 mpg. Mine hasn't been remapped, but it's had the EGR delete.

Just had 32.9 out of mine on a long run td6

With a map I've managed 30/32 in my TD6 and that was between 60/70 on a motorway.

Brought mine a month ago.
Since found out from owner that it was re-mapped. Driving sensible on motorways the computer has never ever shown more than 25mpg.
Maybe time to investigate then?! Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

That was with Continental Cross Contact tyres on 20" wheels. On my 18" winter Pirelli Scorpion Winter I never really saw over 25.

Might be worth listing what size wheels and tyres when listing your mpg. 2024 P550e Autobiography

...and like I say I've not found the computer to be very accurate, re-set or not.

If you really were going between 50-60 I would say that's accurate as its a very economical speed for TD6 but how often can you travel "Constant" at that speed....

I have just come back from the south of France , filled the tank computer said 31 mpg over 755 miles at 70mph.
It took a tank and a half for the journey, which I believe is roughly 30 gallons that works out to 25 mpg I believe.

And to be honest I was very happy with that as I had budgeted a tank and a half and it was spot on.

If you work out how much it's really doing compared to how much the computer says, you can then change the mpg trim in the hidden menus, so it will be spot on.

Def a bit high I'd imagine.....

Will settle a bit after the remap.
