B-Pillar trim

Wow, Land Rover, what a piece of design!

I decided to pop the cover off the b-pillar to clean out the fluff and maybe spray some silicone on the belt and runners etc to speed up the recoil of the drivers seat belt.

What a monumental PITA to get that back on! 2 hrs of pee-ing about and I've still only got 3 of the 4 panel clips located along with the seat belt height adjuster. Now the plastic pins have bent a bit and are moveable so lining up needs some kind of zen like knowledge and possibly x-Ray vision! Smile

Any suggestions on getting it all back together? I might try a new set of pins, failing that, I might just plump for 30mins labour at the stealers to sort the bloody thing out.

And...... Breathe Smile Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.

Thanks for that Stan, I've had the complete pillar cover off and seen how it's supposed to clip back on, but it has to go back on in one piece and you can't see if the pins are lined up properly, as they're on sliding mounts.

Never mind, I've ordered some new clips/pins as the old ones are a tad bent now :p Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.

It's easier if you take both door seals off, just from the edge of the pillar trim, then refit it, then refit the door seals... Pete

Had another look and the best way would be to get rid if the drivers seat for access at the lower forward edge, However..... That sir is a very good idea and might just be the answer to a quick way around it! Thumbs Up

Cheers for the idea. Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.
