Not strictly RR related as it happened to my Audi TT....... Anyway in for a haircut this morning, come out and someone's nicked all my dust caps They're not fancy metal ones just bog standard plastic I'm more annoyed that someone's been touching my car.... Bloody cheek

I've had issues in the past with the metal ones which is why I stopped fitting them and went for the cheap plastic option..... It seems people will nick anything these days  Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White

Black plastic dustcaps for me, nobody ever steels them


Although I did go through a period where they were disappearing from my wheels, turned out my dog took a likening to removing them

I had black plastic ones - that's what got stolen I'm sure a tyre place would sell you a set for 50p

Fair enough the bright shiny ones but why would anyone would go to the effort of stealing the plastic ones from my car in broad daylight on a fairly busy side street is beyond me - my car had just been washed and polished, so perhaps a jealous thing

I just get annoyed when people touch things they should - I think it shows a lack of respect for peoples property in our society.

how on earth did you notice immediately that they were gone?
were you looking down as you approached the car, so you didnt see yourself in the window reflection? or where you looking at your reflection, -at the 'sides and top', and THAT'S how you noticed!

my neigbour accros the road, didnt even notice that her drivers side front wheel had been nicked and was resting on the disc! she started it up and scratched the front patio up a treat, before geting out and looking and wondering.

just the one steel wheel -must have had a puncture themselves, SCUM!

if i caught someone doing this, i would give their heart a puncture.....

Obviously didn't carry out any vehicle checks before she drove off, or it was very dark.....LOL. My other half is a driving instructor, and never checks anything....

Kids have been known to pinch these for their bikes.

Agree with pld118 kids needing them for their bikes! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I bought a bag full of black dust caps for 50p or so a few years ago... from a kid on a bike funnily enough

No from a car store or Halfords or online or a parts dept and just keep them for when needed. I've never ran out of the original bag content. That said, the caps our main dealer supplies for the RR are silver grey.
