Fuel pressure control valve on td6 changing?

Hi there has anyone changed the fuel pressure control on a td6? Sometimes the car runs fine then all the sudden it will judder and hunt? The computer says fuel pressure control valve, from what I understand it's on the back of the injection pump? Thanks
