Gearbox holding on to 1st a bit too long

As the title suggests, the gearbox on my 2008 TDV8 seems to hold onto 1st gear just a bit too long on low revs. happens when either hot or cold. gearbox oil change?

Its just on occasion. maybe because I'm aware of it now, I'm watching out for it and it seems more frequent. probably nothing to worry about. he says nervously.....
