Exterior door handle cable on drivers door snapped yesterday

Just a thought, but if you unlock the car using the remote, cant you then get in the passenger side (or drivers side rear door) and open the drivers door from the inside? |

if you did take the door off graeme ,you will loose the facility to move the window up/down, mirrors in/out etc...also you wont be able to use the handle as its on the door card.. ... - .- -.

Probably didnt make it clear! What I was thinking was to get in by the passenger door then 'scoot' over to the drivers seat. |

@Stan - I know I will lose the handle etc., but is it possible to open the door by pulling the cable?
