The Spirit of Ecstacy (pictured below) or "Emily" as she is sometimes referred to, actually gives me the creeps!

However, if you look closely at the rear of the picture you can see that this car was named "Kitty" on the brass plate. It seems that the car was originally acquired by its first owner General Laycock as a present for his wife Kitty Hill who had previously been The Marchioness of Downshire.

Any Guesses? At Paris Retromobile show last year.

Don't know about that pm2... If I hadn't seen it in the metal yday - with a big board telling me what type RR it was - I'd never have got it from that engine bay shot

Whilst reading up on the history of the Silver Ghost after seeing the one pictured (I'm hooked!), I read that an original Silver Ghost was insurance valued in 2005, for $35,000,000

No clue what the one pictured is worth. Before surfing the net after seeing it, whilst at the show, one of my sons asked me and I said "I would imagine it will be worth at least five hundred thousand pounds."

Still no clue what it's worth!

TBH pld118, the Silver Ghost was prob the easiest to Identify IMHO as the bodywork gave it away...there's very few coach built bodies ike that..
