Probably Need a New Battery ... £225.00 plus VAT

4 and a half hours Labour Charge ... £475.00 ....

In Total £1651.19p .....  ====================================

Your main dealer might want to hear your hopefully lesser Indie quote and then match it, particularly if you're a regular customer with the MD. Loyalty and all that... Quite a few will try and price match now.

Phoned the dealership to tell them I will be getting the car picked up tomorrow as I will be getting a local garage to supply and fit the alternator for approx £500 including recovery from dealership ....

But had to pay £183 before the dealership would let it go as they said that they spent 1 hour and 30 mins on it doing diagnostics plus into the bargain I was told the battery is definitely goosed ====================================

So, it takes a fully trained time served land rover technician 1.5 hours to find out the alternator is goosed?
I always found this to be the worst thing about range rover ownership, the robbing bar stewards that call themselves main dealers.... Previously..
