I had a play with the Dell Streak the other day (the security guard at my customer's site had one). It's a nice device. A little wide but could easily see myself getting one for long journeys. As a phone, it could be best described as holding a paperback book against your face. If you were thinking about buying one, I would wait until next month when Dell release the Android 2.1 update for the device. That will give you things like Google Maps navigation and make even more applications available to you in the Android Marketplace.

The HTC Desire is also a good device to look at. Now that the it has been on the market for a few months, you should be able to secure yourself one on a reasonable tariff). I have one since it was released in April and use it more than any other phone that I have had (and I have had a few in my time). With the Android 2.2 update they released last week, a great device became even better with full Flash support, 720p HD video recording, and greater application performance over 2.1 (3-5x). Paul
