Pumping diesel into engine

Help needed, have had some issues with increase in oil level on dipstick, so changed all seals and engine started after bleeding and ran great for a few minutes, turned off to check oil levels and found diesel right up dipstick, turned ignition and pump running and filling engine with oil. Drained all again, I think the timing is ok as it started and ran fine, I did wash the injector harness in paraffin. Is it possible fuel regulator is not allowing return? Vehicle now stuck across drive!!!

Injector seals need replacing.

If not the cylinder head gasket may have gone .

Others will have further options.

EDIT: Don't try to run it until you find the problem. Diesel in the engine oil dilutes it and can lead to damaged bearings etc. John
