Bluetooth Phone

In my attempts to try and get a usable sound quality for the party on the other end of my phone I think that I have mucked something up as now when I press the phone button on the Nav unit it says phone not fitted. I have also tried to pair a couple of phone and they do not find the Land Rover connection (even on my iPhone which still shows it as not connected).

I originally did the following to try and get it to work:

Check the replacement Bluetooth module (purchased in Jan with new software) was connected and not showing and signs of water damage - all ok

Fitted new microphone from Dan

Checked Bluetooth and phone settings in CCF file using IDD tool, can remember if I put back to the same settings

Fitted insulation behind the microphone

None of the above made any difference, phone still sounded like I was under running water) so I reverted to using my exterior Bluetooth unit while trying different CCF settings.

Went to connect this morning for the first time to as I like the factory unit turning off the radio when I have an incoming call but now have phone not fitted.

As far as I can remember phone would connect when last used approx. 5 weeks ago but not 100% sure.

I have today tried the following:

Disconnect and inspect Bluetooth module, all appears to be ok
Checked CCF and is set to Bluetooth - Yes and Phone - BT
Tried different phones to pair (5 x iPhone from 3 to 5S, Blackberry and a normal basic Bluetooth phone)

Any ideas, suggestions on what to check/change just to get the phones to connect again.

Any suggestions There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

No suggestions. Missing being able to connect to Bluetooth even if just to mute the radio when the phone rings. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Maybe not quite the answer you were looking for, but I'll be installing a parrot bluetooth kit to my ffrr as soon as I get the ISO lead next week (hopefully). This cuts all audio (including sat nav - so be warned!) when the phone is in use.

Had it my my X-Type for years (as well as one in my wife's X-Type and earlier versions in other cars) and have never faulted them.

Plus - I can control/play my iPod through it and the audio comes through the car...

... and my phone's bluetooth audio comes out through the speakers too... Tym

If it sticks, force it. If it breaks, it needs replacing anyway.

I think that the interference may be from my DRLs but still can find the Bluetooth in the car on any of my phones. The Bluetooth works for the venture cam and as above is a new updated Nokia unit.

If anyone has an IDD and can look at the Bluetooth settings in the Audio CCF file (there are 3 or 4 settings) to tell me what they should be before I look at an aftermarket solution.

Anyone managed to get a decent parrot unit with a wired ipod connection, if so an idea of the model(s) and rough price appreciated.

Thanks, There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
