While a HSE might be OK, people here do sometimes refer to them as 'poverty spec' as they are missing certain bits that the Vogue has as standard.

I think the general idea is that a HSE will be harder to sell on later, which is probably why they are cheaper and less popular. Plus you have less toys in the meantime and maybe seats that are not as nice.

Personally I'd go for a Vogue. They should not be much more for an older pre-facelift one.

@fox, ..i would have liked the vogue with the extra bits but my hse has still got quite a few toys and in my case it was at the right money...

btw , what are the differences between a vogue and hse, i know about the tints,heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, anything else.

I think the seats in the Vogue may be a bit better too.

To be honest after driving a defender, it feels pretty luxurious to me!

Everyone here will say Vogue. To a man. And rightly so.

You CAN get away with a HSE if its well specced. But the problem is if you're buying used - even from a main dealer,- accurate information won't be available to check it has the options you want. If you buy Vogue, you know that most everything is on.

It's not about TV's - you can get aftermarket from halfords these days for 100 quid - but the little things. Nav, Bluetooth, seats, lighting....stuff you never thought of.

Even then you can be surprised - I have an Autobiography and was looking forward to cooled seats..... Not specified on my MY05.

So go Vogue. More buttons
