2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

hopefully battery drain solved

have had a battery drain for a while now. not very technically minded
but I left the side cover in boot off last night and locked the car.
went back 2 hrs later looked through side window and noticed that the red light on the sat nav in boot was still on
this is not right is it?
have pulled the fuse for now.

I believe it should shut down after a few mins....

Does the little red light near the gear lever stay lit also ? Though I'm pretty sure that may go out too.

the red light near gearstick goes off after 20 mins, but it was a good 2hrs later that the red light in boot was still on
