certainly un-declared modifications could invalidate your insurance....i'm pretty sure a 2012 headlight would cost more retail than a 02-05 or 06-09 one for instance .. ... - .- -.

My insurance company are aware that my car has a facelift body kit (as they class it), a non standard rear bumper and Overfinch wheels and it made £80ish difference to the premium Thumbs Up Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

Yes they should be coded.

I always use colour coded covers but with a grey car you can get away with it although not worth the £65 saving. Thumbs Up
