2005 4.2 supercharged battery

Hi guys
My SC has started playing up.

The parking sensors are going crazy
Lost all preset radio stations
Getting warning messages about HDC and suspension

I am guessing the battery should be the first thing to look at - no record of the last change in the service history.

Which battery is best for the 4.2 SC?

Any help would be really appreciated

The consensus for the diesels is that a 110ah bosch/varta battery is the best, they can be a pain to fit if you have a pyro charge on the + terminal, but otherwise should go in ok. I would assume that it would be more than adequate for the s/c too. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

anything over 800 amps will be ok...
loads here fit the 020 s5 varta/bosch but these are best for the tractor diesel FF's that need the extra power to start.. ... - .- -.

I think it's fair to say that the SCs do enjoy a rather good drink.

The TDV8s on the other hand drink very little. They much prefer munching on a good hearty snack.........Usually their turbos! Whistle
