VUB503660 Side Steps

Guys, given that these cost a hefty £750 for LR has anyone any experience of the Britpart or Allmakes equivalents at about half the price. I'm hoping this is only a temporary step on the road to deployables when I can afford them, the new car is not disappointing in terms of costs so far:
Replacement Rear Camera - to fix image reversal.
Towbar - for my bike rack.
New key - car only came with one and although I've never lost one .....
Leather treatment - minor scuffs to be addressed.
Road Angel subscription - this car is so fast, it'll get me into trouble
And of course the steps - SWMBO say no more Very Happy
The joys of RR ownership Thumbs Up Geoff

I don't know if deployables require no front flaps if that's the case I'll probably not bother and just keep the fixed steps which do require front flaps. However until I have a proper look I don't know if current front flaps are fitted properly with the additional brackets and corresponding holes in the plastic panel. Holiday is over today, so flying into Manchester and picking towing stuff up from PFJones as recommended by other forum members so that is Wednesday/Thursday taken up, they will have to post the electrics so that's the weekend gone - rush rush rush Rolling with laughter Geoff

If its a stepping stone(!) to deployables i would just get the tube ones for a while IMO Geoff. they are easier to remove, dont need faffing with the flaps and only 4 bolts maybe 6 per side IIRC Smile

On the leather stuff who are you using BTW? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Flaps already there so if deployables mean removing them I won't bother, got to do something to keep SWMBO quiet. Leather stuff is just some coloured balm from Furniture Clinic my only worry is what it might do to the contrasting stitching if I'm too hung ho with it Shocked Geoff

I think I am more careful than a "pro" particularly if the guy from the powerful videos is anything to go by, I want to take the bumper off not rip it off. Very Happy Geoff
