Soap Box Carts

We used to make these when I was a kid and great fun we had with them but nothing we made was anywhere near as hitech as these! Real big boys toys with no form of power at all, not even pedals and a chain, hence the Gravity Assisted Vehicle moniker they get today....................... PC or what? Imagine taking one of these down the Stelvio Pass. Mr. Green Mr. Green

That looks like a whole heap of fun. Even better is the 1st one on the right - all the crashes.

The crash pilot (Roy) is a local friend of mine and he has spent much time in plaster/bandages these last couple of years. It's not like he doesn't know about motorsport design safety as he regularly competes in proper rallying. Perhaps the idea of a roll cage is just too safety conscious for him so he prefers to throw himself down hills in a wooden box with pram wheels and no brakes on it!!! I have spent 2 years trying to organise a soap box event in Sheffield, it is now being held in May 2011.

Some of the carts have been built so I cannot delay it again!
