Sorry - this has probably been done before but I can't find anything conclusive so here goes.

I have a TDV8 Vogue 57 plate with the reversing camera - my question is can I somehow fit a camera that'll talk to the screen so I don't have to use a seperate screen for the in trailer camera I use when towing the horses?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the OE venture cam was made for this job,..i gather that you havnt got one?

the only other alternative is a separate wireless cam and monitor .. ... - .- -.

The venture cam is the "smartest" way IMHO as you can also use it for other stuff like of roading, tight turning etc. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Sounds good - can a venture cam be retof-fitted?

have you looked to see if there is a dock in the upper glove compartment, if there is one then its just a matter of buying the cam..

I have been debating this issue myself but for my caravan although it's more for hitching up than when towing but I could do both. I have a venture cam but don't want to have to keep attaching it every time.

Has anyone tried the wireless cameras that can be picked up on a smart phone?

Hello,
I fitted a wireless camera from IWT which is assigned to CAM2.
Used to use the venture cam but had the following problems. Suction mount kept falling off - solved by permanent mount.
Camera angle of venture cam not wide enough for front to back viewing, ok for back to front viewing.
The "fitted"camera is a permanent fit with very wide angle looking front to back.

Yes i have the venture cam set up for hitching [no trail assist for the fatty] and also if needed, outside the back of trailer when reversing. I find it easier.

Edit to say the whizz who fitted it had to do something extra (freq) i'll contact him to ask what it was...
