Strange heater blower problem - is it the FSR?

Hi all, over the last week my cars heater seems to have lost its 'full power' setting on the blower/fans, they're definitely working only as you raise the fan speed you can hear that after about half way the fan Speed doesn't increase (even though the lights on the switch illuminate) . I have checked the fuses and done a battery reset but to no avail - does this sound like the FSR? 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Sounds like poss symptoms to me. It's not a costly item to replace, and a common failure point as you know, so would be my next step.

I'm having issues with my new one similar to what you describe. My original problem was fan on full all the time, so I'm pretty sure I've introduce a new intermittent fault with the new one.

Just need time to get a replacement from the MD. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Update!

Update! Ordered a new FSR and fitted it today, what a ball ache of a job! I was at some very odd angles under the footwell trying to get the Censored out, couldn't get the multi clip off, couldn't get it back in. I hope I don't have to do that again in a hurry. Still - it HAS fixed the problem so I was well chuffed when I turned the fans in full and they worked

The new one had more (but thinner) cones - hope it's a design improvement! Thumbs Up 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black
