Revised TDV6 and Head up Display

Revised TDV6 available to order now is capable of 40mpg. Head up display is available as a £1000 option. A new revision of Terrain Response is also available on TDV6 and V8SC derivatives which allows the vehicle to use the cruise control functionality between 1-19mph - sounds cool!

I always thought the TDV6 had only one turbo, but it had two. It's gone down to one now, although output remains the same. It'll save on repairs when a turbo goes.

LR has really made some progress on MPG/emissions with the diesels. 40 mpg from a RR! Shocked

Wonder when they'll do some serious work on the V8 petrol - which apart from the odd power bump is the same engine as when launched in 2009.

I would think that the SDV8 and V8SC will be shortly departing. Does the TDV6 revision bring it to EU6 standards?

No mention of SCR (or LNT) so I would say no. Would surely be worth a press release.

Supercharged V8 surely won't be going anywhere for some time, plenty of demand where economy doesn't matter (hence the prototype LWB supposedly with the SVR engine)

40mpg, that's not playing the Range Rover game of unaffordable motoring, before we know it all the back to front Burberry Brigade will be buying them to use as economical ram-raiding vehicles Whistle

Hi, just wondering where you got that pricing from?

Thanks.

Pricing from the UK press release on the JLR media website.

The V8 engines will be going if they cannot bring them in line with EU6.

Petrol V8? Particulates and NOx are only a big deal for diesels.

Expect SCR systems (as per nearly every other manufacturer) to be added to the diesels. The revised V6 diesel just announced isn't a V8 diesel substitute though.

I hope this means finally getting rid of EGR, because it's a really stupid system.
