When you do 98% road work its not worth having ATs on. I shoot with a guy who has a 5.0 SC on AT (Cooper Zeon LTZ) and he says they're ok, but noisy on the road. I'd rather not compromise. This is the first time I've been stuck on the road tyres. It's bound to happen some time or other.

When I put my Grabber Ats on this time last year I went up the top field and promptly got bogged down to the axles, had to be pulled out by the old classic on a bungee!! Wet grass will kill any 'normal' tyre. Summer or AT |

^^ Try taking your car to an HGV depot - you may be able to get them to steam the underside off.

Do they have ramps so they can get underneath?

you could put a mirror on that Paul and then you can check for bombs stuck to the underside ...

It's true that you can get stuck whatever tyres you have. Always keep a tractor and chain at hand ...
Have had the same issue, although it froze on. |

My solution would be, park it in water for a bit so all the mud weakens before washing the bottom of the car. Alternatively, get a garden spray appendage (the type you use for the lawn) and park it over that for a while to get it to go soft before jet washing. The more soaked it is, the easier it is to get of. Living in the "clay region" of Holland for decades taught me a thing or two about sticky mud and I HATE it. Sand and beaches aren't great but much easier to clean afterwards . MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hot water pressure washer makes life the simplest for cleaning of that amount of muck in my experience. i wouldn't live without one now having tried one, halves any cleaning time.
out of interest front locker in? which one is that then? something aftermarket in front axle or middle diff lock? DSC off button pushed may have helped initially in this circumstance if you wished to apply power with a large steering input. ie accelerating through a corner with slippage Cheers James |

Doesn't terrain response in our models switch DSC off itself in the different applicable situations/settings ??????

It is. DSC on can cause you to lose momentum by trying to keep everything going in a straight line, it's certainly no good going uphill. |

DSC parameters are changed in all the TR settings, pushing the button in any TR setting changes those parameters yet again.
