Yep - what a pain and very disconcerting the dealer doesn't road test or check this sort of thing prior to returning the car.

Not 100% sure but I think the ABS block has to be purged with test book or similar when you change the brake fluid . 2008 MY Supercharged

Can i suggest you DONT return the car to the dealer. Rather ring the dealer and insist the car is collected on a recovery truck... As I'm sure i do not need to explain the safety implications of driving your car with either air in the brakes or worse still, a leak! (sometimes a leak means air gets in rather than fluid leaks out)

Unfortunately I will have to drive it, they are only 6 miles or so from where I work, it was the 50 mile drive in this morning that was fun!! Need to get car sorted today and am sure that if I try to demand a trailer it will not be resolved till next week - i will take path of least resisitance (no pun intended!) |

Just as an update, went back to garage and brake lines were bled, 45 mins, and now are back to normal.

Usually do everything on all my cars myself. But then my background is very auto-centric: started as mechanic trainee at the age of 16 summers / after school and put myself through the university by turning spanners (all before becoming part of a rapidly growing diagnostic equipment co. |
