if it follows the pattern as above , look for the fuse for the ac blower and seats and it should be the same for the windscreen.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan,

Just double checked and the fuse designations you mentioned are from the 2009 manual
LRL 10 02 55 901 - Range Rover Owners Handbook

Seems like the MY2010 are completely different, but I still can't find the fuse number for the front screen! I'll check my owners handbook tonight Confused Confused

2010 = LRL 10 02 55 102 - Owners Handbook (Issue 2). This is RRUK's MY (and mine).

All very confusing for a simpleton like me Very Happy

Cheers,

Right, so before I took things apart I gave the interior of the screen a good clean and then got some freshly boiled water in a container and moved it about on the dash (slowly!) until it was all steamed up, started the engine, fans off, just the screen heater on.

After a few minutes it all started evaporating, I wondered whether this was just the natural process but after about 5mins you can feel the warmth of the screen heating on the back of your fingers, so it must be working after all? Sigh of relief I guess? Very Happy Discovery 4 HSE

Or rub a potato (cut surface) on your windscreen in the evening, the outside that is. The sugars of the potato are supposed to stop the screen from freezing over Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I actually used the "bubble-wrap reflective" sunscreens (I had one that had "wings" that went in through the door) on the windscreen. That kept is pretty clean every night. Just the hassle of putting it on and into the car (wet) was a bit annoying but still, kept the screen clear on frosty nights Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Glad I don't live in London or park on the street and of course glad to be retired.

On the few occasions I have to set off very early ( Very Happy 8:00am) I just start the engine, switch on demist, heated seat and steering wheel and go back inside and have another cup of tea until she in nicely warmed up before setting off.

Although I do expect to have some gummy pflege in the next few day to aid frozen door opening in order to gain initial entry rather than risk my rubbers ( ohh err missis Very Happy ). Geoff

When I switched on the screen heating (not often needed) I noticed a slight trembling (as one would see above hot tarmac in the distance) that would disappear immediately when switched off . Anyone noticed that? Is that normal? I find that irritating.

Nicely done Stan, snow in the desert Thumbs Up
