New (to me) TDV8 VSE

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago and enjoying it so far. I briefly had a 2004 vogue a while back, but this is much, much nicer. It popped up as a private sale on AT last week at decent money and I am pleased I managed to find a Vogue SE in my preferred combo of grey over ivory with piano black.

Put it in to rrlondon.co.uk last week and it had a few bits done, ended up about a grand lighter but it drives spot on and should be good for a few more miles to come. It has just ticked over 90k but is in lovely condition.

The build quality is a bit of a step down from the car I sold to buy this (a G500) but at least my other half will drive this as the G was LHD.

Had a great result with the £11 eBay leather repair kit, keen to see how long it lasts. Just need the brackets for the drivers side deployable step and change the tyres over before next weeks MOT.

I agree, it does look good on those rims; although I do like the wheels that are on it I guess they do date it a little as they were on 02 onwards cars.

I'll have an eBay look for a set anyway, just in case there is a bargain floating about Very Happy

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red

Excellent colour combo, one of my fav's. I only recently got an 08 in Black with Sand, (wanted ivory). The rims are beautiful but yes I too had them on my 04 and for that reason kept away from them.
Repair kit is fantastic, mine has some creasing etc but negotiated with Dealer to do it as prep was terrible.

Nice FF.

Was that photo taken in the City Quay, St Katherine Docks car park in London by any chance?

I was completely sceptical about the repair kit, but had read other good reviews on other forums. I also have an old SL merc and it has had a similar treatment in the past before I bought it which has held up well.

It seems to be basically a kit to paint the leather, it still feels like leather afterwards, seems to be some sort of flexible paint with the dye colour in it. It probably won't last for ever but it looks a million times better than it did as a worn bolster.

Carpark is in richmond Very Happy

Kit was from here;

Hi

to complete the JKE's upper note, 'leather' is is fact animal skin with synthetic compounds apply to it (read: paint).
So you are not simply painting you leather, you are indeed repainting it with a similar product - this is why it look so good.

Nice purchase with the L322 Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l
