Pyrotechnic removal

presumably its pretty straight fwd to remove? just strip it and take reconnect the wires straight to the terminal? Cheers

The pyrotechnic device is fired from the airbag system. If you simply un-plug the connector to it it can't fire.
I have no idea if this connector is monitored in anyway by the airbad ecu or what the implication is of removing it but I suspect it may be nothing.
On the face of it I think you could safely remove it and simply connect the battery cable direct to the battery terminal but as above I'm not 100% sure. You could always try it and see.
I would certainly disconnect the battery before doing anything. Thumbs Up

If you need a spare one for 2002-2006 type, I have a new one I bought to fix my airbag fault. Not needed etc.

was looking to split wires for the VSR i intend to fit.

looking again today, the pyro only works on one wire - which wire is that? or where does it go.

i have three other wires coming into the battery there, anyone know how to identify which is Alt/Starter and what the others are? Cheers
