Morning all,

I've done a bit of googling but am struggling to find a full OEM caliper rebuild kit. The seal kits are on Microcat and seem fairly easy to get hold of and I've spotted an aftermarket kit with pistons on ebay, but being a brake development engineer I know how seemingly inconsequential things like piston coating or seal machining pattern can affect brake travel and cause problems with squeal so want to stick with OEM if at all possible. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I might get them?

I'm fairly sure I have a sticking piston or two (judging by the occasional wobble when applying the brakes and the periodic bouts of drone or judder) so I'm expecting them to be in poor nick!

That said I could get it up on the ramp and find that the calipers have oxidised, lifted the pad abutments and bound the pads (that's a Brembo classic) so am planning on having a good poke around before I order anything!

No pistons sadly! I've spotted a kit from that seller that does have pistons but not OEM. I'll resort to it if I have to but I'd rather have OEM

Generally speaking the rebuild kits were phased out over the years. Yes they can be bought piecemeal if you know where to go but re-manufactured calipers are more the norm now. Warranty versus liability I guess.

AP or BigRedd are the kind of places you'll find the bits and bobs. Forget the average auto factors though, they don't want the potential liability if it all went wrong.
