i did - it was colourless and no smell to it...........is that ac condensate?

The drip as Haylands said is just water condensation from the A/C, nothing to worry about (usually leaves a nice pool under the car in the summer!)

exactly 240 miles since i picked it up from the mechanic after all the above mentioned work was done. Just filled up the bone dry expansion tank......2litres exactly. Cant see no other puddles except the clear condensate. |

Just keep an eye on it, they are very difficult to bleed properly and it could be air that was trapped in the system...

The expansion tanks very often get pin holes in them usually along the seam that only open up at pressure leading to a steady but mysterious coolant loss . Also make sure you have the correct mixture , too much water and the SG will be wrong and throw a message I believe . 2008 MY Supercharged

Cheers for the idea, but the early ones don't have that feature, mine was full of neat water when I got it and no warning was showing, cleaned my expansion bottle and it has no stains so don't think it's that... Pete
