Less damaged than expected... So some are totally stuffed the. And others are fine without a mark....

To me those are openings. Even if they don't lead into a car deck, then the water and sand will be in there unless every bulkhead door and hatch is screwed down and the decks are air tight Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

^ Imagine that ship in a slightly high sea Will, those apparent openings are just above the unladen plimsole line. In any sea they will be under water 50% of the time.....

Not the actual Ship design but similar:

*** HOWEVER they seem to sit so high in the water I guess its possible they are openings....

Scotland 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

They are openings for crew to handle mooring lines etc but there is a watertight bulkhead running across the ship behind it. Presumably the doors in the bulkhead have been closed to prevent water ingress.

First picture here:

Passed their dock at Southampton many times.

I did see one report, from the salvage people IIRC, that there had been some water ingress but that the openings (doors?) had since been closed. John

Both kinda right I suppose Smile

It would be nice to have someone dockside when they start unloading or pictures of the interior released.

Note to Captain for future reference:

You may have thought that it was a good idea to park JCBs, Land Rovers and Jaguars on one side and just Minis on the other..................but it wasn't Laughing

At least everyone got off OK, that's the main thing. And looking on the bright side, all of the RRs would have a boot full of water at some point in any case, it's just come about 7 - 8 years early Whistle
