Because they are used as core units! Simple... The plastic panel is still underneath the piano black covering obviously! They are sent of to a factory and refinished ![]() |

I agree that you can't replicate a piano black finish with just paint, traditional piano black is not paint but black lacquer, built up to a thick layer and then sanded with various grades of sand paper ending up with 3000 grit before it is polished.
