Hi everyone,

I am looking to get an extra key for our 2002 L322 4.4L V8.

Local dealership quotes 250 euros, so £180 +/-

I would like to know is there are alternatives, yet that use a genuine, cut to shape, LR Key. I tried 2 sellers on ebay and we could not make them work even once cut.

Then, how to you sync the keys please?

Do you have key insurance......

Everyone seems to try selling it to you as part of a breakdown package, car insurance or banking these days.

I can't say i've come across any alternative to dealers, cheapest i can do a key for would be £152.00inc vat posted to you in France.


if you think LR keys are expensive then be thankful you don't own a ford, they know how to rip you off, £180+VAT for they key and £80 for programming , which only consists of a few turns and button presses in the ignition  You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts

The genuine ones come pre-cut and programmed to the car thought don't they? So my dealer lead me to believe.

Try looking for a master locksmiths that cut car keys.

Worth a try.

Much better bet than the bay of e I'd imagine.
