My thoughts exactly, Gary.

They always appear to be late for whatever activity they're doing.

Found that aspect rather funny.

Then there's the four children on the back seat and the others in the boot. Brings back fond memories of simpler times as a child in the early 70's.

We had a Brooklands Body kit fitted to our 3rd Range Rover, basically because the paintwork was getting a bit tired and it had a big ding in the bonnet, so we had the bodywork done and the kit added. I think it was just the front and rear bumpers that were fitted, so nothing too over the top, but I always thought it looked good.

Paul, I'm pretty sure yours (& my LSE) will be an abomination as far as the die hard "oldie's" on here are concerned! Rolling Eyes

I like the 'Brooklands' kit'd classic very much Thumbs Up

So are you saying that opinions are only ok if they agree with yours? Apart from a few joke posts earlier in this thread which have been removed, this has been quite a good thread. Body kits are not everyones taste and it has to be said that if you *ignore* the fact it's actually an offroad vehicle, then the official body kits are probably more tasteful than the third party 'ideas'. However, it IS an offroad vehicle as well as an onroad vehicle so fitting body kits DOES affect the overall silhouette and functionality in a way which differs from the original designers vision.

...I think you'll also find that OLDIE is a very harsh term and doesn't cover people who prefer pure design. As a matter interest what's your year/decade of birth? Land Rover Addict

That is an insult ^ as I'm pretty sure that there are people on here that agree with you that are under the age of 90. It basically says, we are right and they are all wrong. Land Rover Addict

Really!!!

What is meant sir is, having a Classic RR fitted with a Brooklands kit factory or otherwise is "the original bodykit" and therefore must be an abomination in the eyes of some here! Reading some of the comments on this thread! Simples Thumbs Up

Why abomination? Surely just something they haven't fitted by choice? Land Rover Addict

I purchased mine with the ultimate body kit. I don't like the standard back end of the ff. I would have brought a sport if it was a ff. if that makes sense?

Steve You remind me of a young me, not much younger mind, perhaps even a little older!
