We love the whole area around Zell am See and Kaprun. We camp in the motorhome there nearly every year as part of our summer "Trip".

There is a site on the North Shore of the Lake but this one linked below is much better and you can cycle to Zell am See in about 20 minutes and same for Kaprun all on Country cycle paths no where near roads....

Yes but we prefer the whole Zell area and even the Maisgogel in Kaprun Village if the snows good. Glacier skiing is for the very keen in my opinion Wink

Looks lovely Gaz - I will stop there next time I'm traveling in that area. Thumbs Up

BTW - I've skied on glaciers several times and it was fine. If you go on a sunny day and pick the right glacier it's not really any different. This is the glacier by the Matterhorn. Left is Switzerland, right is Italy.

Kurt, I have done quite a few of the European Glaciers but I simply prefer the more scenic runs especially on those wonderful sunny days. I ski to be up in the Mountains rather than for the sake of skiing. Thumbs Up
