Intermittent airbag warning light (passenger seat)

Occasionally when I have a passenger in the car the airbag warning light comes on. The light may stay illuminated or go out several times during a journey. The light never comes on when I am alone, and has never been an issue during MOT's etc

I assume it is a loose or faulty sensor or connector under the passenger seat.

My dilemma, do I fiddle about with the wiring? Or could this result in the light staying permanently on?

Any suggestions.

BTW it isn't shown as a fault with my IID tool. Possibly because the light isn't on whenever I plug the unit in. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Cheers Stan. What work is required to do this? Do I need to strip the seat? No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I have seen a picture. I think they refer to them as "mats". Any idea roughly how much you paid for one? No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE
