Set of to Whitby and the car started to smell of egg, got there ok and locked the car and the alarm went off, took awhile after closing and opening all doors and bonnet so of we went for fish and chips , came back four hours later to a flat battery, the car park attendant said the alarm had started to go off about ten minutes after we walked away, rac called sent a contractor who jump stared the car,

This was the first problem just after it was jump started, he's used a portable charger to do it the alternator is only giving 12.5 so its goosed

Transmission fault limited gears, drove home with what seemed like 2nd and 3rd gear and the yellow engine light on and F on the gear indicator on the cluster panel

Got back to home and this thing has lit up like Blackpool pleasure beach, now we have this on the info screen.

Suspension fault vehicle lean when cornering
Hdc fault system not available
Dsc fault special program's not available
Yellow engine light fault

Turned it of and now it won't turn over at all, the battery's goosed and had a small leak, the gear indicator is now showing as E its getting a new alternator and battery fitted so I'm hoping this sorts it out

Can anyone shed any light on the relevance of the E on the gear display

Glad it's sorted, they do turn into a Christmas tree when they haven't got volts....

Wonder what E meant??? never sen it on mine but then it's a different box on the petrol.... Pete
