.....Have a toyo proxy st with less than 1000 miles on and a chunk the size of a 2 pence piece of the rim protector has been scrapped off by a pothole. Ive thoroughly checked the damage and there are no chords showing. Can this be patched up by hot vulcanizing a patch of rubber on to it. If so.....who/where in London offers this service.

Yes it can be repaired, had three done a few months back, don't know anywhere in London though, sorry...

The place I use fixes HGV tyres so maybe worth a google and a spell on the phone..... Pete

There's a national company that collects our major repairs and returns them a week later Mon - Mon and charges around £20... You have piece of mind then its been thoroughly checked and all cords awe intact

Whats the name of the company and are they trade only or open to the general public too for their service.

(Just got a phone quote of £40 from a east london company who use rema machines/products etc - seems quite a high price)
