Anyone wired 2010 headlights on 2002?? Help needed!!

Hi, completed doing body conversion on 2002 to 2010 spec. Looks great but now to the wiring!! The fun bit!!

Followed l322.com wiring diagram but gives 2 pins (pin 4 & pin 16) that need to come from one side light wire? Is this correct and do you split the 1 wire to 2 pins.

Realise this is quite specialist info but if anyone has done this conversion would really appreciate the help!

Sorry can't help with the wiring but just wondering how much you paid for all the parts you needed, I've seen the list but not sure how much you could get it all for? L322 2002 4.4 V8 LPG

Have you tried asking DCC 4x4, one of the forum sponsors, Rimmer Brothers or Simmonites? All sell the conversion kits for pre 2010 to 2010 front ends 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Hi, to answer both questions, got one 2nd hand headlight, new rear lights and front grill from dcc but they have electician who wires their conversions up so don't give any detail out. In fact anyone who does conversion for money will tell you nothing!! Paid bit over £700 for those bits and a further £700 from paul at armstrong massey on the other headlight/crash bar/ fog light surrounds/chrome bumper strip/ brackets/ and 300 for painted bumper. Paid £170 for resistors and wiring diagram from english leasing for lights and 40 for new headlight plugs with the wiring diagram from l322. Altogether roughly 2k. Will probably get back 400 ish for old parts so cost will be £1600. Only took a day and a half to do actual conversion (me amatuer/ friend clever) but wiring is taking a bit longer. Sure its easy but everyones quite secrative with the info. car looks stunning though and in my opinion money well spent. Will post pics once done.

I can understand 100% why people who do this for a living dont want to realease the info!!

Ultimately intellectual property has a value and it has to be paid for. You might find one of them will finish the job for a fee or if not, go back to English Leasing who you paid for the wiring diagram and see if they will help?

Be nice to see some pics of the conversion being done etc.. and some of your tips etc...so it can provide assistance to others who are considering doing a 2010 conversion. Perhaps the mods will make it sticky in the M&M section? Be nice to see a before and after pic too.

I'd be more tempted to go 2010 > 2002 given how much worse the facelift looks.

2006 to 2009 is my favorite RR 'face'.

But the new one may grow on me...
I always think of Top Gear calling it the Range Rooney though. Whistle

Hi, will definatly post some pics when finished. Don't really want to pay someone else to finish, just need a few tiny details hopefully from a forum member whos completed!! Most of the detail/ pics is on the l322.com website with exception of wiring details eg the resistors/relays required. Will happily help forum members, just want to complete mine first!!

I saw your post over on RR.net as well. Search a bit more there. There were 2 threads on wiring 2010 lights a couple of months back. Those might be of use to you.

Nick, we're doing the same conversion at our workshop on my RR. Unfortunatly, we haven't received all the parts Including the headlights) so haven't started the work yet. Once we do start, I'll get the info from my auto-electrician for you.

Have you notified your insurance company about the modification? My premium went from £640 to £5,000 because of the body modifications. Censored Managed to get it via another company I deal with for £1,000 but I have to supply an engineers report on the conversion. WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

Quick update. I can confirm if anyone doing in future you split the side light wire to 2 pins (4 &16) Will make sense for future people doing conversion!!

Also my 2002 has some different coloured wires to l322.com diagram but just make sure you know which wire is indicator and which side light before you cut the plugs off. Then just follow the pin diagram on l322.com. Easy!!

All my light work including led dlr but indicators flash too fast. Need a fix for this. No dash warning light though which i was expecting!!

So back on road again!!
