Mine was fine after changing the struts, I measured it and it was as before, thinking about it, you don't disturb the height sensor so in theory it should be fine.... Pete

Delphi Parts bought, garage on standby for man hours, calibration & allign tomorrow early am, hope all goes smooth..

Just noticed dealers notes on the estimate:

AIR SPRING FRONT LH WASHER-SEALING

AIR SPRING DAMPER ASSY


What they on about? Are these along with the purchased Delphi's?

Assy , Washer sealing?

These Delphi's feel great. Difference in drive from the original warn out to the new is firm and submarine like ….However steering feels about 5% heavier, negligible difference, could be the tires that need changing soon ..thats said, the mechanic left a note after the installation saying something about a "steering arm bush crack"?
I asked what he meant by that and he noted the Lower Arm Bushes. Part# LRLR018345

They haven't aligned her properly, so sent her back in, collected and now its going the in the opposite direction..:brick: …taken her in again tomorrow.

Service advisor explained that they have used the same dampers as they were fine? Confused here..? I'd be vexed if it wasn't a straight forward swap out form old to newly purchased Delphi's..Will check that too..

Total Paid:Front Left Delphi: £240 , Front Right Delphi: £240 , Installation (Fit, Align, Calibrate): £150 …..

No need to mention how much the dealer quoted; jaw breaking

You bought dampers with your bags, the damper is the middle gloss black part with the white sticker, if they used the old dampers what did they do, strip down the struts you gave them and just swapped the bag???

I'd have a look if I were you, put full lock on and look under the front for the shiny new looking black bit.... Pete

I have the parts in the trunk. Will have a quick look and see if those parts are new or old?
I think the service advisor is referring to something else as a damper? Well I hope so..

Had a look at the parts in the boot and those are the used ones previously on the car..so new assembly must be on, will have a look saturday.
