I have had the mirror glass off my driverside mirror a couple of times to try to solve the glass fluttering at high speed.

I assumed that the clips on the mirror were broken or not attached properly but after a couple of goes at putting back on it seemed the problem lay with the gear it was attaching to, the circle that moves the mirror about seemed more spongy at the bottom.

then I spotted that the bar that runs diaganolly across the circle and presumably gives it some strength had split in the middle.

for now I have tried a temporary bodge involving superglue and loom bands

can the fixings behind the glass be easily bought and fitted. I presume the torx (sp?) Screw in the centre holds it all in place?
