Front bumper trim replacement

Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be gentle Thumbs Up

I am trying to replace the black front bumper trim on my 2010 3.6 TDV8 with a nice new silver one.
I'm really struggling with removing the old one... I can feel the retaining clips behind the bumper, but can't seem to shift the trim at all. I've also tried wedging several credit cards in various gaps whilst pulling the trim away, still nothing!

Can anybody give me some tips?

I've just replaced mine and it is a Censored to do, so hope this helps. The best way I found was to start at one end, reach behind and press the retaining clip you can feel down, while pulling the trim towards you. If you have trouble you could use a plastic pry tool or carefully with a screwdriver. Once the first one releases, work along the trim releasing each clip one at a time while pulling and it'll be off. It is just those clips holding it on.

Nice Job!

What colour did you use to get a good match with the fog light bezels, or did you paint those as well?

I took mine off painted it but only in primer, also did the foglight surrounds, was to be a facelift project but never got round to it. Surprisingly easy actually although masking the rest of the foglight was a bit tricky - I think I used some thick rubber bands round the circumference of the fog light ring. I then sold the whole thing to another forum member and just bought the current car which had them anyway and obviously no need to do a facelift.

Paint I used was Simoniz 5 Alloy Silver or something like that - intended for alloy wheels but a great match:
