Passenger door wont open - Help appreciated

Hi, have done a search but cant find same issue.

My front passenger door wont open with exterior or interior handle. Locks and unlocks OK just cant get the Censored open!

This did happen about 2 years ago for 2 months then miraculously cured itself. Any tips on what to look for and how to do it.

Cant really use it as SWMBO will not climb over into the seat and I am NOT having her sitting in the back with an empty passenger seat Rolling with laughter

Presumably the dead lock has stuck on! Latch fault!

Have you tried a battery reset? I would 3 or 4 times just to be sure! Then.......

Do a little dance to the latch gods hoping it opens one last time so you can change it otherwise it will be a case of ripping off your door card (often in chunks) then having to cut the latch locking plate above and below the latch to release the door!!!

Not easy I'm afraid sir and for anyone reading this thread in the future on the search facility? The first sign of these faults get the latch changed as its a simple replacement job... When stuck shut... Turns into a nightmare!

Thanks Craig, that has cheered me up ! So the deadlock is separate to the button that goes up and down (my naivety).?

Will do the battery reset and then the dance!! and report back........ Thumbs Up

Rolling with laughter more than 5 years covered in strawberry jam.

What’s that thing you can do from the side of the door with the rear door open? Is that different, or have I got the doors mixed up? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
