That's a good point! http://www.martrim.co.uk/ Could trim one in matching leather or vinyl. Much easier to clean. Damn you for putting the idea into my head, that's going on the to do list now! ![]() |

LOL, if you choose leather (and why wouldn't you) make sure it doesn't make the thing too tight in the side channels. Have you ever heard leather squeaking against hard plastic? It needs thin leather which is pulled tight and not gathered at all, especially the back corners. I also used gummi pfledge on the plastic supporting pieces on the car to do the final quietening down.

Seriously though, a thin layer of some sort of flock material (felt for example) should stop any parcel shelf squeaking. |

I suppose another use would be to cut the tops off some cones and stick on top of it. Along with a couple of hi-viz coats a white topped flat cap and some blue roll up signs. Can still use the boot, while putting people off tailgating you. |

Awsome thanks all, i never thought of covering it! And i have been looking for black ones all this time! Yeh i have used it for a while now without the cover and it does have dark tinted windows but there is some very questionable places around birmingham when parking needing to visit places etc :p (yes im a brummie so i can say that!) But i am loving the idea of hi vis jackets and cones.... any one got any blue grill light for sale out of intrest.. |
