Exhaust tips

When I say tips I don't mean like the 3 o'clock at Haydock, I mean those things the stick out from the back of the car.

Mine really did look a bit sad, so after having read what to do on here I set about them with some fine wire wool followed by Autosol - results were amazing Thumbs Up

SWMBO surprisingly had no oven cleaner hence me missing that step out.

No before pictures (too embarrassing) but after half an hours fettling here are the results.

Once you've brought them back to how they should look, a regular clean with Autosol will keep them looking good. I've seen some right bodge jobs where they were so badly cared for, some eejit then sprayed them with silver paint and ruined them.

I had a new rear bumper, back box and tips on mine when I bought it, 30,000 miles later they still look like brand new.

It's not a tough job, I don't know why an SC owner wouldn't care or bother TBH?

I used to think the exhaust on the SC was puny, especially when you compare it to say a Porker Cayenne Turbo, but then when I've seen those awful Potato shooters on the back of some, they look wrong.

The L322 SC was designed to be subtle and blow everyone's socks off. Cool Discovery 4 HSE

I had a hell of a time getting the 4.2 ones to look decent. Intend to not let the 5.0 ever get that bad Smile. Very little job keeping them clean Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
