Disco all fixed now, so FF back to being a driveway ornament. Except for the snow.....

While the winters are on the diamond cut 20” have gone off to be redone in gunmetal light! And shod with a set of 255/50 20 scorpion verde tyres (the correct size is now available I think they are using them on Jags now at that size). So will report back on how they perform. I’m expecting them to be quieter than the zeros and more grippy than the Michelin’s. will probably mean that I will have a surplus set of Mich diamaris in the garage. but I am planning on making a Descision on selling a few sets when I get them back!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Wheels are back and looking ace!!

Will go on the car at the weekend!! But I don’t think there are many with AB diamond cut alloys redone in gun metal, so it should look quite individual.

However as normal the wheel refurbers can balance wheels for toffee!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

took the steps off, put them on a bench cleaned and wrapped them.

The fattie has been washed!!!! Yay. And I’ve emptied the boot out in preparation for ferrying stuff about at Xmas.

Also had the pollen filter housing out to check the o ring seal at the back and all was well!!

Topped up the fluids, and booked her in for a service in the new year. More pampered than the missus that one!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

its just had its annual service.

good job I was sitting down for the bill but it did have the diff oils done as well so I suppose it was OK, but its now all good for another year and I can't find any bits and bobs for them to put right at the moment..... which is odd, but nice.

looking at some old pics on my phone I saw that last April it ticked over 50K....given that it is only just on 54k now it would appear that I am not using it much at all. If I had a job which wouldn't ruin the car then I would use it as my daily driver but looking at the state of my disco, I'm not thinking it would last long looking clean and tidy, and I just can't do that to the old girl.

Lack of use does have a couple of advantages

1, driving it still has a sense of occasion
2, the milage is now corrected for age
3, its still getting used for longer runs mostly so its not getting commuting runs put on it.
4, I don't need to wash it as often.....

as an extra to the wheels above.... I took them to Malvern's to balance them up properly. 3 of the wheels had no weights on them at all, and the other was 150g out of balance....so anyway the boys stuck them on their machine and all is now good and smoooooth. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

well as above its only just had a wash, to get rid of the salt and grot from last week, it was looking a bit filthy! also had a quick wipe round the insides as it had been used as the work car during the snow and was a bit grubby.

its cleaner now, not clean by any stretch, but cleaner.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

indeed, did swmbo's car as well, which I tend to have to do whilst not looking so as not to see the new dents/scratches/missing paint/kerbed wheels etc etc.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
