Thumbs Up

Fit nicely.

Just got to sort out fitting the spare wheel in the well.

The poly packer under the space saver is too thick for the normal wheel. There does seem to be one for the normal wheel so i will give the parts desk a ring and see what comes up. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Ok.

So now I have 2 poly packers for under the spare wheel. It turns out the thinner one must be for a narrower wheel as well,
My 21” spare still won’t fit. I’m inclined to think it doesn’t have one.

In other news I swapped out the part worn front pads and discs. There was a bit of mileage left in both, but I like to do it on all my new cars so I know when it was done. Was an easy job, basically exactly the same procedure as on the 322. I fitted a pair of genuine LR discs and a set of TRW pads, as I’m disinclined to spend £230 on a set of front pads, when I know who they are made by...... out of interest the ones which came out were LR ones and were stamped Jurid on the back plate, the same as the last set I fitted to my 322.

I’m still waiting for my second rear disc from Duckys. Been a bit of a fubar by Fedex. They failed to deliver number 4 of 4 on the parcels, and it now seems to be on its way back to Robin..... we shall see what happens.! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Nice and bitey.

Going to do the rears when the missing disc arrives.

Have managed to book it in next week for its oil sensor wiring update, FOC aparently.

Then it can be parked up and washed... more pidgin poo. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

New shiney just got its exemption from the ULEZ.....

Not that it matters or I will drive there often, just felt i should do it in case I happen to drive there visiting friends and I completely forget about it.

Nice letter from TFL saying I’m exempt 😀 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You won’t for a 2011 as it’s only EU5.

But if you register a TFL account you can then add a vehicle to the account. If it comes up as being chargeable but you know it shouldn’t be you can follow the links, send them a scanned copy Of the V5 and 4 pics of the car. They then mull it over and send you the exemption.

As mine is a 2016 it should be exempted, but because of the change in plate it wasn’t showing. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Hi Mark, it's not for my 2011 sadly I can't get that exemption!
So it seems there is a link when you add a new vehicle?

. Cheers, Greg

Rear brakes done Smile Smile

Releasing the EPB is dead easy.

1. Turn on ignition (don’t start car)
2. Press (down) and hold the epb switch
3. Wait 2 seconds
4. Press down and hold the accelerator
5. Wait 2 seconds
6. While still holding the EPB and Accellerator switch the ignition off and back on.
7. Release epb and accelerator.

You should hear a noise at the rear calliper which is the epb retracting.
There should be a warning on the dash that the epb is now in service mode.

To re engage. You simply repeats the above, except you pull up on the EPB switch instead of pressing down.

The rest of the brake swap is standard stuff, which has been covered in the wiki before. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

That’s a very helpful 1 to 7 👍🏻

Agree with Stan... Good doing “wee jobs” on the RR/ the cars... “Are you tinkering today?” Mrs pld calls things like this 😂

Thumbs Up
