Evening,
In my never ending search for a FFR in my price range, I've noticed that a few of them seem to have extra door moulding/bump strip trim on the lower part of the doors. I assume this is to protect against minor car park scrapes etc, but I don't like 'em.

Were they an option, and can I remove them without much damage?

WHY??? Never could be too picky with the car of your dreams sir!!!

They're about a £200 option, Mine has them and i don't mind the look of them, but the double sided tape that holds them on was getting pretty poor, chances are yours will pull off fairly easily. So long as it's not been re-painted and masked around them it should just be a case of cleaning the residue off with paint thinners.

Ours was fitted with three of them when we bought it (one was missing), and one was half hanging off.
I removed them as they are NLA.
The adhesive is a pain in the neck to remove. DON'T use THINNERS, it will remove the paint.
A cloth soaked in petrol to soften the adhesive then a plastic scraper will remove the adhesive.
Allow around a couple of hours depending on how much of the stuff is left on the panels.

ive used thinners and it's never damaged the paint, but yes petrol should work too.
