Thanks all...... Nearly ready for tomorrow just lacking insurance! Having a bit of a spat with my insurer but will hopefully sort by 1100 tomorrow! Can't take the free 7 day insurance as the car doesn't have a tracker.

It is an ex LR management car, there seems to be quite a few AB and VSE 64 plate model appearing on the LR used website. Most have electrically deployable tow bars for some reason!

Laughing First thing I did was disable those hateful things

If you're fairly young and mobile, they are too slow, you swing your leg to get out of the car, just as they deploy into the back of your calf Censored

Then if you open the door to lean in & get something, they smash into your shins Censored

I couldn't be bothered to actually remove them, but they've been disabled since day 2 of ownership.

Thumbs Up

Not sure the tow bar will ever be used, in fact I will bet it won't be. I really wanted the deployable steps too,but Alistair makes some good points regarding how they function (or don't) in real life! I like the side steps on the RRS, they are fixed and you get used to them I suppose. The steps would also be good to assist in washing the roof, but a set of stepladders is cheaper!

I love the deployable sidesteps. They make access much easier, also easier to get out if you haven't got much space to open your door. It also saves you from gliding out of your seat and wearing the leather prematurely.
On one of my previous Vogue back in 2007, I had no sidesteps and older people grabbed the little armrest to climb in, I always feared it would break! Now they get in without me worrying they're going to pull off the armrest each time.

Very pleased with it and so many toys!

The wife has disappeared in it, I don't think I will get a look in!

Read the manual ? Haven't got it out yet! Had to call the dealer to ask what the additional black fob was on the key ring . Apparently it is for the pre heat system? Suspect it's in the manual somewhere!

Just received the dig guard from Duckworths - you need a degree in engineering to install it!

Looks like a lovely car. Mine was also an ex LR management car, and also came with the retractable tow bar. I use it a lot to carry around the bikes, and it's SO much more convenient than getting the old one out of the boot on my L322. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Well, I would have bet money that it was a Scotia Grey , which is what I have. Are you sure it is Corris? I have seen the dealers mis-label the colours plenty of times on used cars!
