2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Tow Bar Recall

Just had a letter (right after the brake hose recall) saying there is an issue with LR towballs on RRS, D3 and D4.

Might have got one because I swapped the plate from my D3 to my FFRR. All abput it coming loose due to wear.

Is this an FFRR thing too? (haven't called LR yet) 17 MY Corris Grey 4.4 VAB

No, the RRS and D3 are largely the same vehicle which have a towbar socket in the rear chassis crossmenber. It's this socket which wears on some and they replace the rear crossmember where this is found to be the case.

The FFRR towbar is a completely different unit and not affected in this way.

Did you own a D3 before?

That is possibly why you had the letter.
