I replaced the gearbox in my TD6 4 years ago after if died on me, and was covered with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty from a well respected auto box specialist locally. After 1st year, and 2nd year had the oil changed in it as per their requirements for the warranty.

I only do between 2,000 and 3,000 miles a year, so guessing high mileage isnt a worry for me, but wondering how often, or when I should get the oil changed in it again?

In about 20 years time.... !!! they recon every 60,000 miles...

The oil will have a shelf life of about 4-5years...

If you are worried about it do it whenever, an oil change can put your mind at rest...

Best thing to do is drive it more, they don't like sitting around not doing anything.... Pete
